This is a 2ff er Thursday :) Two blog posts from me in one day !! Watch out ...and no I did not have Wheaties for breakfast...heheheh :) Anyways, I want this blog to also be about me so here is my post about POCKY... How can you love Japanese culture and food without liking pocky ? Impossible !! This treat is super yummy and easy to eat pretty much anywhere . The following are some fun facts I found about pocky:
Pocky was first sold in 1966.
Pocky is named after the sound Pocky makes when you bite into it...yum yum !!!
Available in a huge variety of flavors including banana, sweet potato, green tea, mixed berry, blueberry, honey & milk, coffee . ( some of these flavors sound delightful and it would be awesome to have them in the states but some..yuck..I can do without and have :)
Men's pocky is a dark and bittersweet version known as more " mature "
There is a new Pocky flavor released every fall :)
Glico ( pocky company ) try;s out new flavors and types on rual Japanese people, some of these varieties never go into production
